LOA Arrived on Day 81!

We got that magic phone call early Monday morning, saying that our LOA (letter of acceptance) for Joanna had arrived. This is the first big step in the long travel process. It will be overnighted, and we will sign it on Tuesday. Hopefully we will be able to get it back in the mail on Tuesday evening - no time to lose!

I have e-mailed our agency and explained all the details of Sam's September 22nd wedding and his inability to change the date due to his upcoming military deployment. They said they would do everything in their power to make things happen for us, which is really all I can ask for. If TA is not returned quickly, then we will have no choice but to wait until October 26th to travel. This is due to an international trade show in Guangzhou that doubles and triples the hotel rates, as well as the Chinese Moon Festival during the first week of October, during which time EVERYTHING shuts down. We need to devote this to serious prayer! We have been praying all along that everything would happen during God's timeframe, not ours, and we really need to just rest in His grace and trust at this point. He loves Joanna so much more than we could possibly know, and it is comforting to know that He has her best interest at heart. (As a mom, however, I keep feeling the need to explain to Him over and over how important it is to get her home immediately - LOL!)
